About Us
What is Fauji Tales?
Fauji Tales is a storytelling platform and digital archive dedicated to preserving the lived experiences of the Indian Armed Forces. It is a space where soldiers — past and present — and fauji families can share memories that define life in uniform: the courage, the camaraderie, the humour, and the deeply human moments that rarely appear in official histories.
The Spirit behind the Stories
Behind every badge and every medal, there is a story —
stories of friendship, hardship, pride, and sacrifice.
These memories, often shared only on WhatsApp groups, in mess nights, or during reunions, deserve a home where they can be preserved forever. Fauji Tales was created to ensure these moments live on.
Laughter echoing through barracks
Friendships forged under pressure
Lessons learned from adversity
Quiet reflections on long nights
Moments that stay for a lifetime
A Platform for All Indian Armed Forces Personnel
Fauji Tales welcomes stories from Indian Armed Forces personnel and their families of all three services — Army, Navy, and Air Force — serving and retired.
Whether it’s a memory from academy days, a humorous training mishap, a field experience, a lesson in leadership, or a moment of bravery or vulnerability — your story belongs here.
Why these Stories Matter
Every story shared here becomes part of a collective memory — a tribute to the courage, humour, sacrifice, and brotherhood that define life in uniform.
Fauji Tales ensures these personal narratives are preserved for posterity.
If you are a serving or retired member of the Army, Navy, or Air Force, we invite you to contribute.
Your memories — big or small — can inspire many.
How did it Start
Fauji Tales is conceptualised by Captain Poorna, an Indian Army veteran from the Corps of Signals (SSC NT 40 Batch). He is based in Bangalore.
After years of hearing extraordinary moments shared among fellow faujis, he felt these stories deserved a permanent home — a place where they could be recorded, celebrated, and passed on to future generations. Thanks to everyone who supported in this journey.
